Yes, and you run the risk of developing a blood clot blocking the stent and having a heart attack. Talk to your cardiologist first.

I agree with all the answers here, this question is best answered by your cardiologist. Plavix works as an adjunct to aspirin and prevents blood platelets slippery. Prevents platelet aggregation, which could reduce the risk of clots that lead to heart attack or stroke.

People started taking Plavix after receiving a stent, and generally spend at least a year. Some patients are advised to stay long term, while others, for various reasons, may stop after one year. Here too, every situation is unique and specific to each individual patient. Talk to your cardiologist immediately stop taking this medication.

We hope that this was very useful for us.

Yes, you increase your chances of having a stroke or another heart attack if you place your Plavix. Stents are still a foreign object in your body and tend to develop blood clots if it is properly regulated. Although the risk is lower than at the beginning, you should continue taking medication until your doctor says you have more risks than benefits.

Good luck ...
(Brother has 5 stents for 4 years, Plavix and aspirin)
